Working on this amazing children's encyclopedia for Discovery Channel and Scout Books was a blast. From the cover art, main layout, tidbit takeaways, color palette, and images, everything you see from page one to the back cover is an original concept. I had to be meticulously detailed when working on a project this big (192 pages!), so a spreadsheet was needed, consisting of all sections and their corresponding colors; assigned image codes with details such as whether an image had been sourced, approved, color corrected, or finalized; paragraph and style sheets (too many to count!); a detailed font list separating out all elements; and main outline detailing the books flow. It was a huge challenge keeping everything organized, but in the end, this was one of the coolest projects I've taken part in during my career.
